ELEAGUE
We wanted to highlight the players in a more fashionable/artistic way for a social media promotion of the upcoming Street Fighter competition. We worked on a few looks and ultimately we really loved the art direction that we landed on. I executed the art for one of the top competitors, Punk.
The game controller art was a last minute ask. They wanted to create a branded controller to sell in the store. The only direction I got was to not use graphics from a specific game. I went to the drawing board and studied the brand colors and found various textures. From there, I started manipulating various elements together. Came up with about 10 different designs. Eleague was very happy with the art and the final design ended up on a game controller in the store.
PGA
Partnered with another designer and we asked ourselves how can we match the spirit of the article with the art. I mentioned we should use a familiar, edgier style of art like Lichtenstein pop art. We ran with that direction and created beautiful art related to the article. The various pieces represent a golfer with a smart coat on that can tell his shot is off, a programmed putter that has various settings and all you have to do is line up and press a button, and the next piece represents smart clubs that can keep score and calculate your drive. Pretty amazing predictions from 100 years ago.
NCAA Football
I worked with a copywriter, who had all the stats. I decided that creating custom illustrations would be effective with this editorial piece because of all the information the article covers. I utilized the NCAA branded colors and created 4 beautiful illustrations. The illustrations include average field position stats, offensive player physical stats, and the comparison of the power 5 total weight and height with nature.
