about

story of my creative journey

Nicole Beck:
The Creative Professional

With over ten years of design experience under my belt, my expertise lies in the realm of creative management, art direction, design, user experience, advertising, and marketing. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with my Bachelor's, I went on to become a strong creative professional at Vanity Fair Brands (apparel), Entaire Global Companies (financial), The Weather Channel (media) where I worked with over 200 highly successful national and international brands, Allconnect (home services) where I helped increase revenue by 60% for their responsive authorized retailer sites and decreased email unsubscribes by 300%, Turner Sports (sports media) where I was able to utilize my broad experience to wear many hats and work with all the sports brands (NBA, NCAA, PGA, ELEAGUE, and more) and award-winning teams, AT&T (technology, media) where I helped lead efforts for the MyAT&T app, and State Farm (insurance) where I got to be on an innovation team and design for the future.

I recently worked for Orion Innovation (software) as the senior lead designer for a global travel media client, I played a pivotal role working with key clients, internal executives, engineering and other XD team members on all design efforts for a full redesign of four responsive sites. We focused on providing users with their desired content quickly as well as entertained with visual delight to keep interest. I led and summarized stakeholder interviews (executives, employees, and key users), analytics review, and a 35-slide comparative analysis. Collaborated with our director and led fellow designers to create user journeys, facilitate design sprints, produce wireframes, as well as a user interface design library, and prototypes.

I was also trusted by a major financial company who was going through a merger with auditing key features from both companies and recommending certain scenarios for testing as well as provide solutions for unification.

  • A great design is evolved from a thought of imagination.

  • Creating a great design is like telling a story, both should be meaningful.

  • Great design is great for business.
